Well, it's been a long time coming but the all-new DanielGuerin.com has finally arrived! Admittedly, it doesn't look a lot different to the old one, but the magic is all behind-the-scenes.

The old site was created when I bought a perfectly decent templete and attempted to carve it into the website I wanted, fatally crippling it every step along the way. The truth is, I'm no web designer! The result was a site  that was far too difficult and time-consuming to update. However, my good friend Craig put me onto a guy named Ivan who has re-written the entire site for me.  He has supplied a content management system that now allows me to easily create, edit and delete content across the whole site.  Ivan; you're a genius, thank you so much!

I appologise to those checking-in over the past year hoping to see some new content here; those days should be well and truly over now. I was keen to get the new site online ASAP though my impatience has meant that I've not yet prepared any images for the gallery. They're coming, and it's going to look great. None of the confusion that the old one caused and you'll even be able to leave comments on individual photographs if you wish. This news page is a great new feature, allowing me to add regular articles including images. In time, I hope it will become a huge collection of stories detailing my latest photographic adventures, news and random waffle. I will also be regularly posting photo's and explanations here taken in my work for the Guernsey Press.

I'd like to offer a warm welcome to all new visitors here and a 'thank you for sticking around' to all those who kept the faith that I'd one-day pull my finger out and get this website sorted!  It's early days yet but please pop back often, I'll be updating the whole site and populating the gallery with old and new material as and when time allows. Please feel free to contact me if you wish, and do sign the guestbook; it's always nice to look popular! Stick around, the site's going to look great!
