Princess Anne's arrival in Guernsey last year was by Royal Helicopter, which landed in the grounds of Government House. Several primary schools had lined the driveway to welcome her. As you'd probably expect of flying machines owned by royalty, it is a pretty chunky chopper and produces a downdraft strong enough to knock the unwary (or unstable) off their feet.
All the media were being herded together out of harms way and everyone with a camera had it pointing at the helicopter. I've seen helicopters before, and wanted a different photograph from the others so decided to turn around and shoot the bystanders as they were hit by the sudden rotor-wash. Being children, they loved it and all wore excited expresions. The hair and flags flying in the wind made for a much more interesting image than a helicopter touching down in my opinion.
